A collection focusing on ancient coins from Rome and Greece

Here you’ll find an ongoing catalogue of my coin collection primarily focusing on ancient Rome, Greece, the Seleukid Empire, and some more modern coins I find interesting.

The collection is also used for education and to encourage interest in ancient numismatics.

A few of my current favorites:

Hieron I tetradrachm

Julius Caesar denarius (with video)

Nero with Divus Claudius didrachm

——————————————-Status of the Collection——————————————-

The collection currently contains at least one example of nearly every Roman emperor from Augustus through the Crisis of the Third Century - the later Roman empire is not a focus of the collection.

A special sub collection focused on is Hadrian’s Travels.

Other sub collections include the breakaway Gallic Empire and the “Gallienus Zoo”.

Currently missing emperors: Gordian I, Gordian II

Greek coins are an area of ongoing expansion, though no specific goal exists.

Morgan silver dollars are collected primarily for toning and overall appeal.
