Bronze Disease
This section is WIP. Posted here are two examples of bronze disease. To the right is an example from an auction house of a Galba sestertius exhibiting bronze disease. Note the white-green tone of the spotting.
To the left is an example of severe bronze disease. Again, note the greenish-white flaws. Bronze disease is most easily identified with easily scraped off greenish-white powdery material. When left undisturbed the powder “grows” out from the surface.
